Core Promise: Stash is an offline-first application. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to any external servers.

1. Overview

Stash ("the App") is designed with privacy as its absolute core principle. We believe your notes, links, and files are yours alone.

2. Data Collection & Storage

We are transparent about data handling:

No Accounts: You do not need to register, login, or provide an email.
No Cloud Sync: All items (images, videos, text, links) are stored 100% locally on your device's internal storage using Hive database technology.
No Analytics: We do not verify your identity or track your usage behavior through third-party analytics SDKs.

3. Device Permissions

The App requests specific permissions only when necessary for functionality:

Storage / Photos: Required only if you choose to save images or files to Stash, or export them back to your gallery.
Biometrics (Fingerprint/Face ID): Used solely to unlock the "Secure" folder locally on your device. We never access your biometric data directly; the OS handles authentication.
Clipboard: The app checks your clipboard only when you open the app to offer the "Instant Save" feature. This data is processed in RAM and is not saved unless you explicitly tap "Save".

4. Data Security

Your protected items in the "Secure" folder are gated by your device's native authentication (Local Auth). While we take measures to hide this content within the app, since data is stored locally on your file system, complete security depends on you keeping your physical device secure and password-protected.

5. Third-Party Services

The App may fetch favicons for links you save (e.g., using Google's public favicon service) to generate visual icons. This is a direct HTTP request from your device and does not transmit your personal identity.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
